Lauren Bauer

Undergraduate Student

Lauren Bauer is an undergraduate student from Denver, Colorado, on her way to obtaining a BS in Chemistry. Lauren is working on ion-acoustic interactions with the acoustic ion manipulation (AIM) phenomenon, where acoustic fields are used to redirect ions.

Lauren is also part of the Rensselaer Motorsport team where she develops sensors and manufactures the wiring harness for a student-built Formula-style car. Through this experience, Lauren became interested in the electronics behind chemical instrumentation, which directed her towards Prof. Shelley’s group.
